Spices are considered the most revered product in the trade of commodities currently available, with the overall spices and seasoning market witnessed growth from USD 11.02 billion in 2014 to USD 15.08 billion by 2020 at a CAGR of 5.2%, which represents the global trade of spices for the same. India plays a pivot role in this market since it's the world's largest producer, consumer and exporter of spices, where more than 109 varieties of spices are processed and produced, as listed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and accounts for half of the global trading in spices.

Despite COVID-19, the demand for Indian Spices remained stable. This was due to the rapid establishment of Tech Platforms and Marketplace Platforms for online Transactions and Trade Facilitation, Common infrastructure facilities for Cleaning, Grading and Efficient Supply Chain Management for its storage. New Technological Innovations and adoptions have led to High Yield and Varities, new identification and mapping of intrinsic qualities in spices.
