Land Registration Authority (LRA) in Davao Region is set to launch new program this year that will make it easy for clients to acquire land titles in the country easier.
LRA regional director Lawyer Asteria Cruzabra said their "Anywhere to Anywhere" (A2A) program allows all clients to request a copy of the titles in an easier and faster transaction.
Cruzabra said this program has been practiced in Metro Manila where a kiosk was established inside the Robinson Mall and intended solely for this service.
She said the same method will be rolled out in Davao City when the regional office is fully-computerized.
"For instance, you are in Metro Manila then you wanted to request a copy of the land title of your property in Davao City. You can request it at the Robinson Mall," Cruzabra said.
She said some of the employees from the LRA-Davao are now undergoing training for the implementation of this program, which was designed to provide convenience to clients.
"They don't have to travel anymore, which is very time-efficient," Cruzabra said.
The program is also in line with LRA-Davao's thrust to offer convenience to the public and make it easier for them to secure land titles.
Meanwhile, Cruzabra said the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and the LRA will forge partnership through a memorandum of agreement (MOA) in order to streamline their operation.
She said the tie-up will do away the practice where clients submit falsified certification from the BIR.
Cruzabra said both agencies will share a common database to make it easier to countercheck the documents from the BIR.
